How our trade analysis works

Fantasy Football Magic is designed to make a complicated decision easier without pretending any calculator can predict the future.

Market values

Our launch trade tool uses values provided by the Stats Guy Fantasy public API. Those values are derived from real trades across thousands of Sleeper leagues and are calculated separately for dynasty/redraft and Superflex/1QB formats.

Fairness score

We divide the lower side's total value by the higher side's total value and express the result as a percentage. That makes 100% a perfectly even total and lower percentages progressively less balanced.

Our verdict labels

Fantasy Football Magic adds a plain-English presentation layer—nearly even, fair trade, slight edge, clear edge or lopsided—based on the distance between the two current market-value totals. Those labels are our interpretation, not a guarantee of player performance.

What the calculator cannot know

No trade calculator fully understands your lineup, bench depth, injuries, league mates, playoff position, scoring quirks or personal strategy. Use the result as one input in your decision.
